SOUND FAMILIAR?

You’re leading a great organization.

You just need more hours in the day.

You know exactly what your association needs. The strategy is there. So is the commitment. What's missing is the capacity to actually execute, and working harder isn't the answer. Working smarter is.

  • The backlog never shrinks

That initiative your board approved 18 months ago? Still waiting. Not because it doesn't matter, because the day-to-day never stops long enough to get traction on what's next.

  • Your staff is already at capacity

Everyone is doing the work of two people. Asking for more isn't realistic, and hiring isn't in the budget. Growth keeps getting pushed to "next quarter."

  • Budget constraints are a constant

Every solution seems to come with a price tag that doesn't fit. You need tools and strategies that are built for lean organizations, not enterprise budgets.

  • Board alignment takes energy you don't have

Leadership is pulling in the right direction, but getting everyone aligned on a new direction — especially something like AI — feels like one more project on top of everything else.

I’m not an outside observer looking in. I’ve been where you are and navigated these same challenges from your seat. That’s what makes working with me different.

AI Consulting for Associations

AI isn't just for tech companies, it's for organizations like yours.

AI is already here, and you don't have to figure it out alone. The challenge isn't awareness. It's knowing where to start, what's actually useful, and how to bring your board along. That's exactly what I'm here for.

This isn't about chasing trends. It's about identifying the two or three places where AI can give your team meaningful time back, stretch a limited budget further, and move projects off the back burner, then implementing it in a way that actually sticks.

  • strategy

    Know Before You Build

We start with where your organization actually is, your capacity, your goals, your board's comfort level. From there we identify the highest-value opportunities and build a roadmap that makes sense for your staff and your budget.

  • GROWTH

    More Reach, Less Effort

Use AI to attract new members, deepen engagement with existing ones, and create communications that feel personal even when your team is stretched thin. Smarter outreach. Better content. Stronger retention.

  • smart operations

    Get Time Back

Identify the administrative work that eats your team's week and replace it with consistent, automated processes, no tech background required. Leaner operations mean more space for the work that actually moves your mission.

  • IMPLEMENTATION

    From Plan to Practice

Strategy only works when it gets executed. I stay alongside you through tool selection, workflow setup, staff training, and measuring results, so the work doesn't stall after the planning phase.

You don't need a tech team to make AI work for your association. You need a guide who has already done it from the inside and knows which shortcuts are worth taking and which ones aren't.

The Business case for ai

your board will ask if it’s worth it. here’s your answer.

Implementing AI isn't just a productivity upgrade, it's a financial decision. And like any good board, yours will want to see the return before they approve the investment. Here's what that actually looks like for a professional membership association.

  • time your staff gets back

Most small association staff spend a significant portion of their week on tasks AI can handle or significantly accelerate — drafting communications, creating content, preparing reports, responding to routine inquiries. That's meaningful time returned to your team every single week. Not by eliminating anyone. By eliminating the bottleneck.

  • Retention revenue you stop losing

Keeping just a handful of members you would have otherwise lost can cover the cost of implementation entirely. And the communication systems you build don't stop working after the engagement ends.

  • Growth you can finally pursue

Consistent outreach, timely follow-up, and content that keeps your association visible — these are the things that drive membership growth. They're also the first things that slip when your team is stretched. AI makes consistency possible at any capacity level, so growth stops being seasonal and starts becoming sustainable.

The question isn't whether your association can afford to implement AI. It's whether you can afford to keep waiting while your capacity stays the same.

who is this for

built for the realities of association leadership.

Most AI consultants understand the technology but have never run an organization. Most executive directors understand the organization but don’t speak the language of AI. I live in both worlds — and that combination is not easy to find
— Bouvier Eulen

This work is designed specifically for professional membership associations — the kind where one or two people carry the operational load, the board is engaged but busy, and "let's revisit that next cycle" is a phrase you've heard too many times. If any of this sounds like your organization, we should talk.

→  You have a small staff, lean on committed volunteers, or run an organization where volunteers carry a significant portion of the work

→  You've been curious about AI but don't know where to start

→  There are strategic priorities that keep getting pushed to "later"

→  Your board wants to see progress but bandwidth is the bottleneck

→  You're doing meaningful work on a budget that demands creativity

→  You want practical solutions, not a six-month consulting engagement with binders

additional areas of focus

MORE WAYS TO MOVE YOUR ORGANIZATION FORWARD

AI implementation is the entry point. These are the other areas where associations often need strategic support.

  • Member Engagement & Retention

Programs, touchpoints, and systems that turn passive members into active advocates for your association.

  • MEMBERSHIP GROWTH

Acquisition strategy, value proposition clarity, and outreach that brings the right people in and keeps them.

  • Operational Systems

Streamlined workflows, reduced leadership burden, and processes your team can actually sustain.

  • Board Alignment & Governance

Clarity on structure, decision-making, and strategic direction — so leadership and staff move in the same direction.

  • Programming Development

Building or refining programs that deliver clear value to members and reinforce your association's mission.

  • Community Presence & Partnerships

Strategic coalition building, visibility, and referral relationships that expand your reach without expanding your budget.

ABOUT bouvier eulen

As the Executive Director of the Southern California Mediation Association, I lead a professional membership organization — which means I live the same challenges my clients bring to me. Limited staff. Budget pressure. A board that wants progress. An inbox that never empties. I know this work from the inside.

Since taking the helm at SCMA in 2021, I've led the organization through real transformation: expanding statewide reach, deepening member engagement, strengthening operational infrastructure, and integrating AI into how we work — not as an experiment, but as a practical tool that actually freed up capacity and moved the mission forward.

Part of how that became possible is the same thing I bring to every client engagement: intentional systems that make consistent execution achievable even with a small team. I've built those workflows inside my own organization, which means when I walk into yours, I'm not guessing at what works. I already know.

I founded Eulen Visionary Consulting to bring that same approach to other association leaders. Not theory. Not a framework from 30,000 feet. Real, applied experience with the exact challenges you're navigating, and a clear-eyed view of what works.

THE ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND MEDIATION COMMUNITY

With deep roots in the alternative dispute resolution field, I also work with ADR organizations, panels, private practices, community mediation organizations, and case management services navigating growth, outreach, and operational strategy. If that's your world, I'd love to connect.

The ADR field is growing. The organizations leading it need to grow strategically with it.
